Construction of the Half-line Potential from the Jost Function
نویسنده
چکیده
For the one-dimensional Schrödinger equation, the analysis is provided to recover the portion of the potential lying to the right (left) of any chosen point. The scattering data used consists of the left (right) Jost solution or its spatial derivative evaluated at that point, or the amplitudes of such functions. Various uniqueness and nonuniqueness results are established, and the recovery is illustrated with some explicit examples. Effects of Building Construction Overburden on Liquefaction Potential of Soils
As one of the significant phenomena in earthquake geotechnical engineering, liquefaction can cause severe damages. A number of factors play a role in the occurrence of liquefaction such as magnitude of earthquake, void ratio, relative density, and fines content percentage. The impact of building construction overburdens on liquefaction is of paramount importance. The present study was aimed at ...
متن کاملElzaki transform method for finding solutions to two-dimensional elasticity problems in polar coordinates formulated using Airy stress functions
In this paper, the Elzaki transform method is used for solving two-dimensional (2D) elasticity problems in plane polar coordinates. Airy stress function was used to express the stress compatibility equation as a biharmonic equation. Elzaki transform was applied with respect to the radial coordinate to a modified form of the stress compatibility equation, and the biharmonic equation simplified t...
متن کاملInverse Resonance Scattering on the Half Line
For the Schrr odinger operator on the half line we prove the following results: the mapping from real compactly supported potentials to the associated Jost functions (in some class of entire functions) is one-to-one and onto. Moreover, we prove that such potential is uniquely determined by its bound states and resonances.
متن کاملThree-Dimensional Interfacial Green’s Function for Exponentially Graded Transversely Isotropic Bi-Materials
By virtue of a complete set of two displacement potentials, an analytical derivation of the elastostatic Green’s functions of an exponentially graded transversely isotropic bi-material full-space was presented. Three-dimensional point-load Green’s functions for stresses and displacements were given in line-integral representations. The formulation included a complete set of transformed stress-p...
متن کاملProperty C for Ode and Applications to Inverse Problems
An overview of the author’s results is given. Property C stands for completeness of the set of products of solutions to homogeneous linear Sturm-Liouville equations. The inverse problems discussed include the classical ones (inverse scattering on a half-line, on the full line, inverse spectral problem), inverse scattering problems with incomplete data, for example, inverse scattering on the ful...
